The Week in Summary: No Straight Lines in Action

Last week reminded me once again that progress in business and life is rarely straightforward. It was a busy mix of speaking, client work, personal balance, and planning for what’s ahead — a real reflection of the No Straight Lines journey.

Speaking Engagement

I had the privilege of speaking at the Suremark and Commerce Wales event at The Morgan Quarter. It was a brilliant opportunity to share insights on No Straight Lines and to connect with business leaders who understand the importance of resilience, values, and adaptability.

Wellbeing & Balance

On Sunday, just before the storm rolled in, I managed a surge on the Gower with Phil Owen and the Ocean Therapy team. These moments are essential for me — they help keep my health, mindset, and work-life balance in check.

Client Work

The week also included delivering updated sales and marketing training at David Spear Commercials, which is always rewarding as we continue to build and strengthen performance. I also spent time providing strategic advice on business growth with clients, helping them prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Content & Communication

Creating and delivering content remained a key part of the week — whether on LinkedIn, through internal news feeds, or via external media releases. Clear communication is vital, and it’s always satisfying to see content making an impact.

Projects & Mentoring

I’ve been working on Series 2 of the No Straight Lines podcast, with planning and scheduling for new guests taking shape. I also continued my involvement with Vibe CIC as a Non-Executive Director and provided mentoring support to clients via Business Wales.

Reflection

It was a week that was busy, rewarding, and sometimes testing — but that’s the reality of my world. Challenges, opportunities, frustrations, and breakthroughs all play their part. And that’s why I say: in business and in life, there are No Straight Lines.
